Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission

UPSDM is working towards providing the state youth who are not able to pursue education or any other skills, with skill training choices relevant to them. The training is provided at a reasonable cost and within reasonable distance from their residence. Centers have the facility to give professional counseling to help candidates make better career and skill training choices based upon their interest and aptitude.

Multi Sectoral Development Program

The Multi-sectoral Development Programme (MsDP) was conceived as a special initiative of the follow up action on the Sachar Committee recommendations. It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) approved by the Government. The programme aims at improving the socio-economic conditions of minorities and providing basic amenities to them for improving the quality of life and reducing imbalances in the identified minority concentration areas during the 12th Five Year Plan period.

National Council of Vocational Training/ Modular Employability Skills

Ministry of Labour and Employment undertook development of a new strategic framework for skill development of early school leavers and existing workers, especially in the un-organised sector in close consultation with industry, micro enterprises in the un-organised sector, State Governments, experts and academia. After analyzing the existing skills of candidates, the scheme aims at providing employable skills to school leavers, workers, ITI graduates etc and certification after the completion of course.

Directorate General Resettlement (DGR)

The Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) is an Inter Service organization functioning directly under the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare (Ministry of Defence). In order to maintain a youthful profile of the Armed Forces, approximately 60,000 service personnel are retired/released every year at comparatively young age. Majority of the service personnel at the time of retirement are at an age where they have numerous unfinished domestic

Aajeevika

Aajeevika is a Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India sponsored project, aimed at skill development of disadvantaged rural BPL youth in the country, with an aim of providing them with jobs /placements. The project is implemented by Lok Bharti Skilling Solutions (LBSS) under its skill development program.

The program is designed to equip the Below Poverty Line families with skills necessary to get a livelihood opportunity. Lok Bharti trains the youth in Soft Skills, basic computer, Construction, Electrical, Automotive,

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology

National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), (erstwhile DOEACC Society), an Autonomous Scientific Society under the administrative control of Department of Electronics & Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India, was set up to carry out Human Resource Development and related activities in the area of Information, Electronics & Communications Technology (IECT).

At the time of formulation of Sixth Five Year Plan, the State Government felt an urgent need for quick, specialized professional services that are required to support various plan formulations at state and at regional level. It was increasingly felt that entire government functions could be performed more effectively if they could get prompt technical, specialized, data base and systems support services at one reliable and accountable source, inside the state.

National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM)

To reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by enabling them to access gainful self employment and skilled wage employment opportunities,resulting in an appreciable improvement in their livelihoods on a sustainable basis,through building strong grassroots level institutions of the poor.The mission would aim at providing shelters equipped with essential services to the urban homeless in a phased manner.In addition,the mission would also address livelihood concerns of the urban street vendors by facilitating access to suitable spaces,institutional credit,social security and skills to the urban street vendors for accessing emerging market opportunities.
